View Full Version : Weaver base chart?

I want to put a Weaver base on a Stevens 15-A. That rifle is not listed in their charts. It has a round top receiver. Is there such a thing as a pictorial chart that shows the sectional views of the various bases so I can pick out one that will fit, at least close?

Possibly a #12 and a #16 might fit as they are for the Mossberg round top receivers on the 44/144 Rifles.
I would Call Weaver and ask for a tech and have a measurement of the diameter of the receiver if it was me.

THAT'S how to solve this problem!

Thanks, Rich!

I stole this from our site at:

Brownells has a chart in their site:
http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=11214/GunTechdetail/W-R-Weaver-Company-Mount-Base-Specifications

You can easily measure the diameter where the mount will go, but be aware that the 15-A has a one piece receiver/barrel and as I remember, is tapered the full length.
You may have to settle for the largest base that will fit on the smallest part (front) of the receiver.
The curvature of the base must be less than or equal to the curvature of the receiver or it will not be stable.

That is a simple 22 with probably the least number of parts possible.

Halfslow, this side of pics or drawings, that will do what I want. Thank you!
