Lyman 20 guage slug with roll crimp.

Can you use a roll crimp on a Lyman 20 guage sabot slug. All I see is info for a fold crimp. Does the hull need to be shortened and other requirements?

Hello Cdet, yes you can roll crimp but you will be better off fold crimping as you can fold crimp the hull that already have been fold crimped!
If you want to roll crimp the hulls that had fold crimp then you will need to cut them.
As it is we find ourselves fighting for hull space most of the time, why bother to cut the hull and have even less hull space for proper wad column.
Fold crimp will give you better combustion and thus faster velocity!
