Tapered/beveled base bullets and GCs?

Has anyone ever had any success using GCs on tapered base bullets like the Meisters or Lazer Cast (talking 45-70 here)?

I have been using plain based checks punched for soda can material using a check maker made by Pat Marlins, a vendor on this site. The mold is a Lee .450-200 RN designed for use in a Remington 1858 Percussion revolver copy. The front driving band on mine measures .454 while the base is closer to .450. When I apply the plain based check, the .452 sizer shines the band between the two lube rings, and really sizes the front band. I hope this was helpful. Frank
