I've seen the aluminum beer bottles and they seem to be made from a much heavier aluminum than the run of the mill cans. Has anyone ever tried these for checks or measured them to see how thick they are ? Dale

I recall a while back there was a thread on the alum beer bottles and they were .016 thick

There are also some energy drink cans that are made of thicker aluminum too. One is called Venom, the cans I had were black. There are also "Team Realtree" energy drinks thatcome in camo cans. There's realtree, blaze and snow so you can match your clothes, and now even gas checks to your energy drink!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the Venoms measured .015 and the realtree's .016. I found 1 Bud Light that wasn't shot up too bad but can't remember the thickness.

My brother came by yesterday and had a Venom energy drink. The new ones seem to have thinner metal. They are also 16oz and the older ones were 16.9oz. I squeezed it and they felt like they might be a little thicker than Pepsi cans. He was using it for a spit bottle and I didn't get to cut it open and measure it.

I posted one way back on the Bud alum bottles which arn't sold here in Ne. However, I bought 3 rolls of cut to width on line here from a member that work like a million bucks at .016. No hassel!
