Hi
I am about to order some .223 primers from Ginex company
http://ginex.com.ba/

I have found more than one type so right now I am a bit confused what type of primers do I need :killingpc
It will be for my M4 with Jard Adjustable Trigger AR-15.

Can you have a look and tell me which would you buy for yourself and reason?
Thanks in advance.

I would use the one on the right, which specifies that it is intended for use in 5,56mm. The reason is that it likely has a harder primer cup to resist potential 'slam-fires.' As you may already know, in an AR-15 the firing pin lightly indents the primer in each cartridge every time the bolt goes forward. Some extremely sensitive primers may actually ignite when this occurs, which could obviously be extremely dangerous.

More than one primer manufacturer offers primers specifically intended for use in the 5,56mm cartridge because of this.

I will ask the company for advice although the sensitivity is already (hardness) written there but I am not familiarize with the values.
Now I realize what the 0.5mm and 0.6mm mean the cup thickness.
They are offering one with 0.68mm as well stated "5.56x45 mm NATO"
Guys do not you have a possibility to measure a thickness of an ordinary let say CCI primer?
It would help me a lot in my decision.

No necessity for that anymore thanks anyway :-)
