Hi guys, I have been looking at this pike of beautiful looong 311247 bullets designed for the whisper....for near a year now, but have yet to fire any. My buddy with the whisper has not had time to get to it yet.

I can't take it any more and have decided to load some in my .308.

Trouble is...I have never shot cast in a bottle neck rifle before (lots of straight wall in all my handguns and a 45-70) ands I don't know what to start. Any body have a good load/powder/tip/trick or advice? I am going to be running these through a new savage bolt gun, with a 1:10 twist. Any help is better than what I am at now !

Thanks

Would suggest you consider starting loads of 2400 at around 16 gr, and work up half a grain at a time. You would probably find something suitable.

Like 1 shirt says.
I always start new to me cast guns with 16 gr of 2400. It never ceases to amaze me.
My best load has always been a little higher but this one works pretty good in almost any rifle.
