I just recently bought a new mold and noticed first time I cast with it I noticed after knocking off the sprue that both boolits are off center where cut. One is about 12 o'clock and the other closer to 6 o'clock. Does this really matter that much or something to be concerned with?

Are you saying the sprue hole is off center on the boolit base??
Thats someting I've not noticed.
What brand mold, how many cavities, and what caliber.
IMO if the sprue cuts cleanly and it is only slightly off it wouldn't matter on a med-lrg hand gun cal. It might be bad for smaller or rifle boolits.

rotate the 6 o'clock boolit to the 12 o'clock position so that they are the same when you shoot them.:kidding:

I have a recently purchased mould that is not centered, it don't matter. IMO

Where the sprue was cut is off center on both boolits. It's a .38 cal mold, 158 gr.

I have that issue with a 148gr wadcutter mold, but it hasn't had any adverse effect on the accuracy.

Some molds are like that. I never noticed any connection to problems.
