I'm trying to convince Mrs. oksmle that gravy is actually a vegetable. She's always on my case about not eating enough vegetables. So tonight at supper when she went into her usual spiel about not eating enough vegetables, I shot back (sometimes my genius is frightening) that ".... Gravy is a vegetable." She's still laughing. Come on guys, I need some help.....

Tried that on mom, wasn't tempted to try it on THAT WOMAN (wife #1), and smart enough not to go there with swmbo, --would miss her gravy way too much.!!! Onceabull

Gravy, (like beer (piwo)), is God's way of saying he loves us, and wants us to be happy! :drinks: 8-)

I'm saying is a recommended daily allowance of several food groups.

The young guy at work brought in some snickerdoodles. I told him, God made snickerdoodles, because he loves us. And the devil made us love snickerdoodles, because he loves to see us chubby!

gravy has flour in it which is a grain which to me is dammed close to a vegetable. Hell there both grown in the ground. Beer can also be classified as a vegetable and so can wiskey!!

I'm sorry Lloyd, gravy is not a vegetable. It is a food group. Of course, we all know that a balanced diet should contain at least 1 serving from every food group every day. Of course, if it is sausage gravy it counts as two food groups; gravy and meat. Enjoy gravy for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Holly went out one night leaving me to feed the kids with the strict instructions that they get vegetables. I gave them 1 pea each and it took them 8 seconds to brag that news to her when she got home. Gianni.

Holy Cow!! What's with this OR business?

Biscuits and Sausage Gravy for breakfast; Chicken Fried Steak with mashed Potatoes and Gravy for lunch; and Roast Beef with pan dripping Gravy for dinner (and a slice or two of good white bread soaked in any leftover Gravy), makes for a great day!

Someone sent me these words of wisdom on health. I think you'll enjoy them.

HEALTH FACTS
QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION

Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!!... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

scronger what it is is the doctors are in cohoots with the anti gun people and together are on a mission to make your life as miserable as there yuppie lives are. Can you imagine a life that jogging followed by a salad was the high point of your day! Sorry but id rather die at 60 with a gun in my hand and a wopper in a bag on the shooting bench!

I just got back from grocery shopping with the wife. Gravy was in the canned vegetable aisle. That should settle the question.:)...Ray
