I have a 1895 Marlin, 45/70(I have several), that I think I might want to get re-barreled. It's not anything special, and has seen a fair amount of use, someone drilled a tang sight hole in it slightly off, so it's not worth much to anyone but me. It's the 22inch barrel model, and I want to replace it with a little better barrel than the Marlin barrel that is on it. It shoots jacketed fine, but has never been outstanding with cast. Who would be a decent 'smith to send it to, and how much should I expect to pay for the job?

I can do the new barrel for you but I'm backed up about 6 months.
