I know these things have been reported on other threads, but for the sake of expedience, I'll mention it here:

If you get an e-mail from Paypal, don't open it unless you are sure its legit. I received an e-mail from "Paypall" (two L's). The subject read something like, "New limits imposed on your account".

I didn't open it, but I logged onto my Paypal account to check notifications, and found no such notice.

Also bogus when they don't use your account name.

Yep, had one of those, too, didn't open it, and called PayPal.

Two things I was told ;
1. In any of their notifications, they will always address you by your given name.
2. They will never ask for your password.

If you go to their site, there is a link for reporting any suspecious e-mail.

Or the sender is paypal@e.paypal.com...

I forward all those to "spoof(at)paypal/ebay(dot)com"(whichever) as they request. Almost every bank asks you to forward them to "abuse(at)bankname(dot)com". I send at least 2/3 a week. Don't know if they do anything about it, but I usually get the "thanks, we're looking into it" reply. It doesn't take but 10-15 seconds and if it helps catch just 1 of the little maggots I'll feel good about it.

They usually turn the site over to the IP police. That list is many, many pages.
