AR 15 Upper

I want a complete upper with hand guard, reasonably accurate barrel 20-24" long.

Parts kit for the lower (standard trigger) and any style buttstock.

Who has the best parts prices/quality for the build.

I bought a complete kit from Midway minus the reciever made by Delton for $469.00. It had a 16"1:9 twist heavy barrel complete lower parts kit and stock. I don't know if they have a kit similer to this with the longer barrel but for the price you could replace the barrel and still be ok?

I really liked my kit. The bolt carrier was staked really good and if I remember all of the components were Mil-Spec. Picked up a reciever locally and in about 11/2 hours I had a functioning AR. I did buy a lighter spring kit for the trigger and I polished the contact surfaces on the trigger group to get rid of the gritty feel also added an allen locknut in the grip to take up some of the trigger creep. Sighted it in yesterday at 50M and was able to shoot 11/2" groups with open sights. Gun will def shoot better than I can!

Look at the LAR OPS-4 upper. No charging handle, just a knob on either side (your choice) or both similar to an FN or HK. Much better, no scraped knuckles if you plan to use a scope or red dot.

Don't overlook J&T Distributing which is the parts side of Double Star. The good thing about their uppers is that they come fully assembled and headspaced. Just assemble the lower into into your receiver and you are ready to shoot. Shotgun News built one and got some amazing accuracy out of it.
