I just bought some kake kutters off ebay and got something I've not seen before. In the picture below I've got the kake kutters on the right and the calibers are 35, 44 and 45. Didn't recognize the ones on the left in the sellers listing and thought maybe they were the same type of tool from another manufacturer. They are stamped 225, 356 and 452. The plug on the end has a stem that fits down inside the body and appears that the stamped numbers correspond to the diameter of the stem and the shaft it slides into. I'm guessing I have some early neolithic form of a manual bullet sizer. I believe that you set a bullet in the end where the stem goes, place the stem in next and then whack the top part with a rock. Is anyone here familiar with these tools and can you confirm my thinking is correct or please correct me if I am wrong. Also would you know who made these. Dale

Don't look familiar to me. I always made my cake cutters out of fired cases with the ends cut off with a hack saw. But then, I have always been on the cheap side of life.

Real Kake Kuters are marked "Kake Kut" and made by Lyman. It it is not so market you can figure it is a Lee or some home made item.

Kake Kut is a name owned or was owned by Lyman.

Looks like the middle sizer used some soft steel. It took a beating.

What is pictured is cutters and sizing dies from a Lee pan lube/size kit. The kit included a pan , mebbe 4" in diameter and 1/2" deep, a cutter, and the sizing die/punch. Slow, but it works ( I did several hundred .44 cal. bullets this way).
