I am getting a barrel for my Encore in 357 Maximum. I would like to be able to cast boolits in the 250 grain range for it. I would love one of Mihec's molds with the hollow point pin option, but don't see that he does or has made them. Any ideas on where to find one??? Thanks!

Get in touch with Accurate Molds and have them make you one

My Max is a 24" 1 in 16 Cadet Martini. I'm using a RD359190 mold in the 3x3 configuration. Mine loves this 190gr boolit both in GC using Ranch Dog's dip method with LLA, or the plain base PP with a touch of JPW on the patch after it dries. Powder is in the category of 28gr A1680, CCI magnum primer. I can seat this particular boolit farther out, lowers pressure. Unless you have a long throat you may have to seat 250's a little deep. I'll throw in too that in my gun I had no luck at all with 4227 and 2400, didn't even bother with Lil' Gun or 296. GW

the saeco #248 weighs 250 ish and is a gas check.
mine squeaks out a hair over 358 with ww alloy.
i use the 250 gr boolit in my 357 max dan wesson revolver over aa-2230, it does right well out to 50 yds [about as far as i am really good with a revolver]
i used aa-1680 data to start from.
i'd have to go look to be sure but airc i crimp over the front drive band.

Thanks for the lead on the SAECO mold!! I'll check it out. Any other heavy boolit molds out there for the MAX?

Pistol or rifle? I have a 200gr wfn mold and it was an outstanding bullet in the max, just over 1900 fps from a 10" barrel.

I've had excellent results with both Lyman/ideal molds numbers 35875 and 358315, they both cast 208 gr. I shoot them in my 28" barrel winchester low wall and my Dan Wesson.
