i use the 457125 boolit all the time. it is the first mould i got when this sickness got hold of me. since then i got several others and some are good and some arent.

i asume that by 458125 you meant the 457125.

in my browning bpcr it does around 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards when i load and do the rite things. it is a copy of an old boolit but ive found that the baco mould 45-500-.460 to be a very good and accurate replica of the old government boolit with the wide and deep grooves for an exelent greeser boolit and accurate.

I have two of the 457125 moulds and they were designed for long range shooting.
Google 45/70 at 2-1/2 miles Sandyhook and get a great read on what it will do.

mike venturino states in his book "shooting buffalo rifles" that his go to boolit for 45 cal rifles has been the old 457125 lyman of around 522 grains. this boolit is classic and does very well in most rifles...at ALL ranges clear out to 1 mile....which says something for a cartridge/boolit designed so long ago!

Can't go wrong with it in my opinion. I have shot loads ranging 55-75 grains of FFg and do not recall one that did not shoot well.
