Lotsa luck to the seller, but I've been told there's one born every minute.

Must be related to my neighbor. He's been trying two sell to completely worn out haybines with parts missing for $1K each for 2 years.

I'm sure that they have a LOT of sentimental value! I saw a local CL ad for 750 rnds of .40W&W brass.
Guy only wanted $125. They may be related!

i once saw a ruger p-85 at a garbage sale ...for the paltry sum of $650 .... i figured either the extra third clip was somehow solid gold under the worn bluing or he was also trying to recoup the cost of all the ammo he used wearing the thing out ..... at the time new ones were ( in s.s. vs. blue ,which this one used to be ,used to being the key words ) running just shy of $250 high retail

I emailed this guy for kicks asking him if $1200 was a type o and it was not $120 he answered back that he went on line and looked up the price of the rock crushers and found them for $320ea times 3 and the case cutter was $250 and the powder thingy was $275 and the box of slugs (what he called them) were rare and old 1980's so they must be worth at least $100.

I sent him a email back you best recheck your prices and only 1 press is a RC.

I'll give you $200 for the lot and you keep the rare slugs.

Anytime I have bought something it’s the best, hard to find, will be a collectors item and so on. :)
Go to sell and it’s junk that everybody has three of and two of them don’t work. So I have a pretty good collection of rare items. He surly will be able to keep and cherish his reloading equipment… At that price anyway.

I just found 60 pounds of unknown content lead ingots for the low sum of $200. He said they're great for making sinkers or casting. The other add in the area stating content and BHN must be some poor quality because he only wants $1 per pound. Rubes are born every minute.

I called on a Craigslist ad last week that listed reloading equipment, components, casting equipment, but no price and no list of items. I ask the seller what he has, which he responds with "what do you need." So I tell him that I am interested in several items, didn't know if maybe he could email me a picture of what he has for sale as he was about 120 miles from where I live. He tells me that it would be a "waste of his time to take a picture of all the stuff he has for sale." Now I am scratching my head, so time to try a different approach, and I ask him how much he is looking to get for everything, so maybe I can narrow down what he might have. He then says it would be nice to sell it all together, but he does expect to sell it in lots, but he estimated about $7,000. After that he went on to elaborate that he used to run a shooting/reloading business and insurance was getting to high so he was selling off his inventory. He said he had at least 1 Dillon in the mix, but went on to tell me the accessories he had for it were worth more than the press, then proceeded to tell me retail prices for caliber conversions etc. He asks me again what I am looking for and I tell him a Forster press, which he says he doesn't have one but they weren't very good, and that they were pricey in their day and no-one really cared for them. Didn't figure I'd push my luck asking for a CH-4D press, and decided to end the conversation.

In addition, he said where he sold reloading ammunition and didn't have insurance he couldn't sell the 50,000 rounds of ammo he had.

It really trips my trigger when you get the " DONT WASTE MY TIME WITH LOW BALL OFFERS, I KNOW WHAT THERE WORTH " posted in there add when like the above they really have no clue what there worth. See it on pennswood dot com all the time. I love calling and screwing with them.

Wow... CL does bring out the nutjobs, both buying and selling! I would be happy to give him 10% of his asking price, but he could keep his "slugs" just because they're older than me doesn't mean they're rare! Some of that stuff would be nice to have, but i bought my whole RCBS Supreme setup from Cabelas for around $300 a few years ago! But somebody will probably give him close to what he wants for it.
