Hello, Friends:

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/678325/rcbs-progressive-press-universal-automatic-pistol-bullet-feeder-die

Using the RCBS pistol bullet feed die with my Lee classic cast turret press; I've assured the right collet is installed and the plastic fingers open properly. I've tried cast 255gn 45LC boolits as well as 200gn 45ACP boolits and nothing will drop--it just lifts the column of bullets and drops them back down.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong--any advice?

Thanks,
jkpq45

Are both bullets cast?

https://shop.rcbs.com/WebConnect/MainServlet?storeId=webconnect&catalogId=webconnect&langId=en_US&action=ProductDisplay&screenlabel=index&productId=6100

It's states not for cast bullets. On another forum, others are trying to get it to work with cast. Haven't seen the solution yet.

Take care

Yes sir, both are cast--heard variable success with the feed die I linked in the OP, figured I'd give it a shot with the experts around here.

If someone can get it to work, I'll add on to my 550.

Take care

Don't know if you have seen this thread or not?

He seems to be having the same problem? I'd be interested to hear the outcome??

Thanks for the link, Gliden07--I've subscribed to that one, too so I can get any updates.

Something tells me I'm going to have to get on the lathe and make some new plastic fingers to be compatible with crimp/lube grooves.
