View Full Version : Pattern 1914 Enfield Monte Carlo Stock Project

Last finished project... I use a P14 "Enfield" in 303Brit as one of my hunting guns. The military stock just doesn't work with a scope. Found a Model 30 stock that I could make work, but it had very cheesy features - plastic forend tip and butt spacers, and the stock overall was bulky and had all the styling of an AMC Matador.

The forend tip and outer butt spacer and grip cap are Honduran mahogany, and the lighter coloured wood is castello boxwood.

Thankee... not the best photography of it - tried for an artistic shot...

I find a well-shaped forward stock to be a better grip up here with heavy gloves on than checkering provides.
