A year or so ago a gentleman from this website sent me some aluminum tape so I could beagle my Saeco copy of the government 500 grain mold for the 45-70 trapdoor that casts way undersized.
FINALLY I AM GETTING THE CHANCE TO TRY IT!!!
I've been busy working with my 03 and my Krags and I've been neglecting the trapdoors all this time.
Would someone please post a photo of a beagled mold? I'd like to see how some of you do it before I proceed. I understand the concept but a picture would be worth a thousand words.
I'm excited to see how these boolits will shoot when they reach the .460 that they are supposed to be. Even with no. 2 alloy they do not come close to .460 and I bought the mold to cast soft. boolets with, not No.2 alloy. My $26.00 Lee HB mold casts .460 as advertised, no problem. Why not the high priced mold?
Thanks,
Mark
