Since I have no idea how long it will be before I have the chance to get my reloading gear set up again, the rare times that I'm able to go shooting, I'm finding that I bring as many .22's as I do centerfires. The added bonus of shooting .22's is that I don't have to chase my brass all over the place.

Since I don't worry about my .22 brass, I thought I should find a more efficient way of disposing of it quickly.

Enter the Ruger 10/22 and the Akins Accelerator (The new springless one)

All I can say is that it is as much fun as it looks like it could be in the videos. And for some reason the cheap magazines work as well or better than the expensive ones. Higher velocity ammo is best, but I found that the Federal auto-match ammo runs just fine. CCI blazers are a little less reliable. I didn't try any of the other bulk ammo, as those were the only things in the range bag.

My wife is wonderful, but I'm pretty sure most of the time, she's shooting to humor me. Even she enjoyed the AA2 so much that she said "Well, I guess a machine gun could be a lot of fun"

I am in no way associated with the guys selling these, but I can say that if you've got a little money to spare, and you want to blow through some .22 ammo, The AA2 is a fun way to do it.

Looks like fun, but a little steep at $629! The trigger cranks are almost as fun and only cost $25.

That's $629 plus your $200 10-22.

For that price I think I could get close to half a million firecrackers......same effect..... lotsa noise.

If blastin' away just to see dust on the berm is your idea of fun then more power to ya, just not for me. :Fire:

I agree with the price being a little steep, I got a pretty good deal on it (okay, an amazing deal..) I believe about half of the MSRP is the KIDD trigger assembly.

A word on the KIDD trigger: WOW!

Would I buy another one? Yes. In fact, I did. Now I just need another 10/22 so that I can have my own, since the wife enjoyed the set-up so much, she has claimed it for her own...

BTW, I like my revolvers and single shots a lot, and I own a lot more single shots than I do semi-autos, but once in a while, it is fun to blow through ammo quickly. I certainly understand the folks who don't find it enjoyable.

This was the second day out shooting the AA2:

I think that would be a fun little toy to have! Not the most practical and might have the neighbors calling the cops but it would still be fun! I'd get tired of loading mags in a hurry though.

Thanks guys!

To be fair, I have less into both of my stocks and trigger assemblies than the MSRP of one, with almost enough left over to buy a second rifle for the second stock. I don't know if I would have bought 2 of them otherwise.

While I like all of my guns, this one has had the universal effect of making everyone who shoots it break into a gigantic smile afterwards. There has also been giggling by some shooters.
