Pretty sure the Marlin 1895 (old or new) never came in .218 Bee...

Did you mean the 1894?

ADDING:

It will say right on the barrel after the model and caliber if it is 'Micro-Groove'...If nothing is there, then assume 'Ballard'...

We have an old guy in town who is an aparist. He was always fascinated with bees and beehives. even as a schoolboy. His name is Brian Tobin, very early in the peace, he was nicknamed "Bee" Tobin, lol.

If this is what you are asking about:

http://www.gunsamerica.com/948817749/Guns/Rifles/Marlin-Rifles/Modern/Lever-Action/Marlin_1895CL_218_BEE.htm

The title is wrong...

It has it correct in the description...

It is an 1894CL

The only guns Marlin ever manufactured for the 218 Bee were the ones in the model 1894CL .

I would be willing to bet some on that ;-)

The 1894CL in 25-20 and 32-20 of that time period were NOT microgroove.

Uh...

Who said they were, and what does that have to do with the .218 Bee?

I suppose that I should have explained a bit more for those a bit less intuitive.

You brought up two other calibers that no one had mentioned whatsoever, stating they were not MG...

You said nothing to the affect that this had any bearing on all 1894CL calibers...

I don't suppose that you could have simply answered the OP's question, and said that the 1894CL in .218 Bee indeed has Ballard rifling...

Nah...Too easy...
