Rem 700 or 725

Gentlemen
I found a barrel I am interested in, but the seller is unsure whether it was for a Remington 725 or a 700. Does anyone know if they will interchange?

Remington's 725 has a thread size of 1.050 OD with 16 V TPI I believe.
A regular M700 uses the same pitch but with a major diameter of 1.062.
Its close, but I don't think it will work. Those threads need to be right. A little sloppy is OK I guess, but .012 is more than a little sloppy.

according to frank de haas, they are the same barrel. should screw right in. sight holes might not be at 12 oclock.
