Are you looking for shot bags to make sandbags? Blue jeans after holes are worn in the knees can have a second life on the bench. Also, if you can get hold of jeans from somebody tall, one leg makes a great tent pole bag.

Who would of thought that those old dirty bags were worth anything. I'll see if i can find some. I know a lot of trap shooters. Hows the lead shot making?

Several years ago, a young fellow at one of the clubs I belong to, had a VERY nice shooting vest made from shot bags. It was quite handsome and the heavy canvas has worn well. Of course, the bags need to be cleaned VERY well to get the lead properly washed from them for health reasons.

The various bag logos make for a very interesting piece of shooting clothing.

The last time I needed shot bags, I went to Wal Mart and got a couple of yards of canvas. A few minutes cutting to size and sewing on my wife's sewing machine (heavy polyester thread), and I had all I needed.

My nephew made shot for several years and put it in gallon jugs. Worked great for him and I used a lot of it shooting trap and worked great for me also.:)
