I just got finished reading about the guy who helped out a deputy in a shoot out in texas made a couple of 125 yard shots on the bad guy. Don't mess with an old man he'll just shoot you.

There were one or two topics posted on it last week, with discussions.

I really wish there was some way to verify the range. Even if half his estimate
of 165 yds (many are VERY bad at range estimation), it is an impressive
shot for an open sighted handgun in 'the heat of battle'

All the two articles I read on it said it was a "Magnum" no mention of type of pistol even.

Word I heard was it was a .357. That's more than capable of hitting at that range, especially if he was resting. An old shooter like him, I don't doubt his range estimating abilities.

Regardless of the range it was noble and impressive. Good for him. In our ridiculous country the old guy would be up on murder charges.

Good for him, good for Texas, and good for common sense!

The sources I read said .357 Magnum revolver.

I saw the interview given by the local chief LE (prob sheriff) and he was definitely pleased
that the guy helped out the officer during the gunfight. Not a hint of problem with this
guy shooting or punishment or anything other then "well done", as it should be.

No mention of it on my news sources. Strange how things like this get "swept under the rug".

This story will not be showing up on any of the networks "news" . Doesn't fit the agenda. Interesting.... enjoy Mike
