I went to the range yesterday with the Chapparal 50/95. I tried some loads using 3031 and the Lyman 340 gr cast bullet, lubed and sized at .515. I started at 44.0 grs 3031. I the best load was 45.5 grs 3031. Shooting a 2.5" group at 100 yards. The article in the Guns & Ammo magazine maxed out at 48.6 grs with the 450 grain bullet, so this should be a safe load, I am happy with the 45.5 gr load and see no need to go higher. Any thoughts on this.
