I picked up a mold in .452, 330g, GC. Would like to load them into my .450, but there's no load data for a cast boolit. It's to expensive to keep loading the jacketed Hornady boolits. Its too nice a rifle to let set in the safe. So any help out there?
Also I water dropped these and they are still not hard enough. Was going to heat treat them, but do you add the GC before the oven or after?

Why do you say they are not hard enough? You might try AR-15.com of here for some help with data:

Go here: http://450bushmaster.net/

Use search. H110, 296, 297 and to a lessor extent LilGun are the powders in play. !680, maybe. PM me for more info. 330 is heavier than need be. OAL and interior case dimensions come into play.

Iwater dropped these straight from the mold. After 24 hrs. they tested out on my LBT tester at between 15-20. Seemed a little lite for the Bushmaster. These I will more then likely load up in .45 Colt, early mod Ruger large frame. I'll have to make up a couple of dummy loads for both to see if it will work in either platform. But I will need somewhere to start the load process, ie powder an weight. Buy the way, great photo's.

Keep in mind that they will continue to harden some over the next week but 15-20 should be plenty for the velocities you are talking about. I use water dropped WW in all my rifle loads, from 1050fps through low 2,x00's.

Keep in mind that when Elmer Keith talked about using hard cast boolits in the 44 mag he meant 16-1 lead-tin at around 10 or so.
