It just plain sucks to get old. CRS sets in.

Someone in chat asked me if I could supply some samples of some 65 grain .224 bullets from BT Sniper's die set.

I have about 12 samples ready to ship, and hope that whoever you were, you could refresh my memory, and get me a PM with a shipping address.

For the rest of you, please be aware that 65 grains is enough lead that the lead sticks out of the front of the brass, and the results don't look quite as pretty as they do for the 55 grain bullets, where the lead just barely fills the case.

But, they came out right at 65 grains! I weighed out some 9.8 grain de-rimmed brass, and prepped some cores to get to the 65 grains.

btw, as I am now getting to sort the brass in earnest, I am finding that the majority of them are at 9.8 grains, with a spread from 9.1 grains all the way up to 10 grains.

In this case, matching brass, and then cores to the brass, made the job easy.

I'll sling some down range if they don't speak up, Duke! :D

Shine them up a bit in our secret polish solution. That will also round the sharp edge of the lead nose perfectly to make a beautiful bullet.

At 65 grains you should still be able to get a very good lead tip to form.

Here is a look at a 69 grain lead tip unpolished.
