I bought a bag of cr. walnut media at the Gun Show awhile back and the guy that sold it told me to put a couple of strips of cotton cloth, dampened and wrung out real good in the media with the brass and the dust & crud will stick to it and keep your media like new. I hadn't heard this before but it sure works and saves the waste of a lot of media. I haven't bought any since and the brass looks great. Y'all ever hear of this?

Yes, I use used dryer sheets or color catchers dampened with mineral spirts..does the same thing and no dust.

Even BOUNTY paper towels cut small will work.

I use the dryer sheets but I also place a plastic garbage bag over the shaker to assure dust is limited to one area. Works great.

No mess.

I was little worried about over heating but never an issue.

I replace the dryer sheet each time I vibrate the brass. Used ones, of course. enjoy Mike

Cut a paper towel into 4-5 strips, drop in. Change periodically. No need to wet
with anything.

I've heard of guys using wet wipes too. I just use the good ol' fashioned dryer sheets.

Great idea! I had never heard of it. I usually seperate my brass and media outside and let the breese take care of it, but I'll try this. Thanks guys. I have learned a lot since I've been on here!
