I recently purchased this mold and cast up a bunch of boolits with it this weekend. This mold casts a beautiful boolit! Not one single cull in the entire pot. I tried to find a little load data for it, with no luck. Does anyone else have this mold? My assumption is 3-4 grains of a fast pistol powder...but I don't particularly like making assumptions when it comes to reloading. Does anyone have any data thy would be willing to share?

Thanks...Shooter

Shooter :

I'm assuming you are loading for the 38 Spec.( you don't mention what you are putting the bullets in ) , If it truly weighs 140 grs. ? ? ? , You can easily use any 150 - 158 gr. Lead load data offered by the powder companies and have a good margin of safety since your projectile is slightly lighter ( 10 - 18 grs. lighter ) than the 150 - 158 gr. weight that the load data was generated with.

Yes, sorry, it for .38 special. Boolits are casting 135-138 grains.

Use 3.5 grains of any of the fast pistol powders for starters. Don't go below 3.0 grains or more than 4.5 grains. ... felix
