ruger barrel

i have a blackhawk i want to have the barrel changed, can a gunsmith get a barrel from ruger, or do i have to send the gun to ruger to have it done? thank's for any info.

I don't believe Ruger sells barrels, you'd have to send the gun to them to put on a new barrel.

That said, checkout gunbroker for used barrels, I got a 357 blackhawk barrel for ~$40 shipped. Prices vary quite a bit and some calibers are more popular than others.
