Just wondering I never gave this a thought before when they list bullet weights in the book is it for bullets cast as is or lube and gas checks if they apply to the weight? I know alloys make a difference also but was just wondering as lubes and the gas check will add weight. I just loaded up some 300 grain 45 bullets that were supposed to be 300 and they weighed 326. They were lubed and gas checked. Now I know the alloy could be part of that but just wondering if in the books they use just the raw weight instead of after.

The check and lube would add very little weight.
I would think it would be the bare bullet but I don't know?

I don't either and I do know that your alloy makes a difference that can vary a bit I was just wondering.

I don't know either. I weigh mine lubed and checked and go from there. If it's significantly heavier, say a 160 35 cal design that comes in at 175 gr in my alloy, lubed and checked, then I keep that in mind and cut back the charge another 5% or so. OTH, if it's light or nearly on, use the book data and go.

Well I used the book data but I backed off a full grain from the max loading.
