wow Dan that was kind of mean talk about a tease. Show a pic of a very cool rig with no particulars?

LOL Sorry. It's a 10" magnaported Premier grade in .454 casull. Scope is a 2x-6x burris.
If it shoots as good as it looks, it's going to become my primary hunting gun.

Nice looking........like you said if it shoots well you'll have a keeper. I would imagine it to shoot cast nicely, what are your ideas for feeding that thing?

Hoping it likes 454424's and 320 grain hammer boolits loaded over 2400. I'm going for accuracy, rather than wrist snapping power.

Good thinking. No need for blowing the roof from the range. :veryconfu

I really like the LBT 300 grgc lfn @ 1450 fps With 28 grs of 296 will do 1 inch at 50 yards if you do your part. and you can shoot actually more than 50 rounds at a time with accuracy ! for me its still in the comfortable range but that extra 200 fps really makes a difference in recoil

Talk to RobS if you want a smoking good 300gr I'm not positive but I believe his will fit the that big ol FA Nice rig by the way I would imagine that will be the ticket for those long Wyo shots

Accuracy is the goal intended when working up loads on my end too. I ran the 454424 for quite a while but then went to heavier designs. My 454 Casull is a tack driver with a particular 310 grainer I shoot. It also does very well with a 340 grain LFN style bullet I designed. I'm working on the 340 with 2400 powder yet and think 21.5 to 22 grains will be what I'm looking at for accuracy in regards to the boolit/powder combo. Any more velocity than that I look toward a slower powder with the 300+ club in the Casull.

Just a new reg. The gun shop requires proof of residency. You have to show them a drivers license or vehicle registration with your current address.

:kidding:Gun's no good--there's a hole in the barrel...

man, that's pretty. The most accurate revolver I ever fired was an FA 454. It wanted to put every bullet in the same hole. Hope yours shoots as well.

yep, hole in barrel no good. I'd cut that quick.

gorgeous otherwise though! The only firearm I could give up my BFR for. I really wish my BFR had a swivel at the base of the grip frame. Not enough to do it, just enough to admire it. :)

Beautiful.

I doubt the ports will be an issue. I will probably never be loading up in the 454 casull power range anyhow. I intend to stay with 45 colt +P loads, and just go for accuracy.

I think that is a good choice. You should have the fire arm for all the accuracy you could want and staying with in the .45colt + loads gives you all you will need with out your wrist reminding you that you are not 18 anymore. Unless you are chasing some speed goats and get lazy and want to shoot to the next county then you might want a 250 grain going really really quick.

Man I really miss Wyo in the springtime I have never been any where that the spring is so incredible. The green rolling hills deep blue skies with white puffy clouds and all the springtime smells. You are a lucky man Dan just not in the winter:bigsmyl2:

The Rig I work on is in ND, so I spend most of the winter here. Days off in Wyoming feel tropical in comparison!

Dandy new rig there Dan! But I'm not convinced it will be enough to fend of an angry, fangs bared, charging PDog!! :Fire: [smilie=1:

Your post calls to mind images of swarms of pdogs charging while ride of the Valkyries is playing in the background. One FA83 might not be enough!
