Anyone own the Rem 700 B&C in 300 Win Mag?
I'm looking for loads to extend this out to 500 yrds if possible.
Thinking of the 180gr bullets as this is, a standard for the 300.

Any ideas or help I sure appreciate!!

Im guessing you are wanting to shoot jacketed. Take a serious look at the Hornady 208gr Amax. I am currently running it in my 300wsm at about 2935fps. You should be able to top 3050-3100 with it in a 300 WM. I will be shooting the 300wsm with the 208s in the morning again at 1 mile, the last outing yeilded 6 hits out of 15 shots in 20 MPH cross winds.

You really shouldnt have any trouble at 500 yards with anything you stuff in that 300win mag though.

For my custom Springfield in 300 win mag, I was using the 180 grain nosler balistic tip for shooting hogs off the hill. Since this was not hunting, I had no ethical problems shooting the pests well out past 700 yards. I used that bullet because it was extremely accurate, and it opened FAST. Even marginal shots resulted in a quick kill. I believe my powder was H-1000.

I've got some of them loaded up, but not with H1000, I believe. I'd have to go check what i got loaded up with, but I do know RL-19 is one of them.
I've got them and the Silvewrtips loaded up, just waiting for this horrible heat to go away, so I can hit the range.
