Remington 1911, Love at First Touch

I stopped at a LGS today to do a little window shopping. What caught my eye was a Remington 1911 in stainless. Sure feels nice but still needs an arched housing, A1 style, to make it point right in my hands. Good price on it, $625, which, while pricey by my old standards, seemed pretty reasonable. I'm hoping for an insurance settlement sometime in the not to distant future and if it stays around long enough it may have to come home with me.

Well, it is a 1911.

The flat MSH works best for me, but I DID switch out the hammer for a Caspian Arms Commander rowel-type hammer on my R1.

I bought it new this past Spring, and have put about 1500 rounds downbore so far, w/o issue - buy my 21 y.o. Grandson LOVES it too, and so I told him I'll will it to him................... :violin:
