RCBS .308win FL Die

Can someone confirm that the decapping(expander) pin in a RCBS FL .308 die is .311? Want to make sure before I buy the die.

I need one for another project I'm doing and someone recommended this die because the expander measures .311.

Mine is .308". After springback the neck ID is usually .305" - .306".

The RCBS 7.62 X 39 two die set has both the .308 and .311. I don't think you'll find a standard two die 308 Win set with a .311 expander.

Hey, I did a little research. RCBS has a .310 expander/decapping unit #09814 that can be purchased seperately. Check it out.

RCBS makes a dedicated, expander-only die for cast boolits using a generic die body and a selection of spuds you screw onto an all-thread bolt. Don't confuse this with the standard, button-type decapping/expanding die or the FL die.

BTW, the RCBS expander I have for .308 measures .3075".

If I remember right my 7.62x54r RCBS die set came with the 308 and 311 buttons
