I can not find powdered graphite in a large size around here. Does anyone know where I can order something over 0.2 oz...like maybe a pound or so. I need it to coat my homemade shot.

Try E-Bay, lots and lots for sale there. Here is only one of many

Google is a very good friend to keep.

Check Tractor Supply Company, Runnings, John Deer or Case-IH implement dealers and likely any supplier of grain, sorgum, milo or similar seeds. The stuff is used to lubricate seeds so that they flow freely through grain drills.

Powdered graphite is used a lot in epoxy mixes to add both color and slickness and other properties needed for boatbuilding. You might do a search for internet sellers of epoxy and additives and supplies for boatbuilding etc... 10 ga

MSC direct or McMaster Carr should have it.

Your John Deere dealer will have it. Comes in about a quart container and is used as a lube for seeds on the Maxi-Emerge planter. Bought several about 10 years ago. Was cheap, seems like only a few dollars per container.

Can I ask what this will be used for - perhaps a substitute case lube?

Yes, and you can also use powdered mica for case lube as well.

You can order powdered graphite from NAPA and or any other auto parts store.

Tubes of powdered graphite can be found in any hobby store. It is used to lubricate the wheels on Pinewood Derby cars. -- Bill --
