During a particularly good range session I started to sling bullets all over the paper at 100yds. In the course of my rifle inspection it was obvious that the tenon broke under the forend cap. The rifle is a Winchester Model 94 Legendary Frontiersman in 38-55.

I saw that Midway and Brownell's have ones available for Marlin Firearms but wasn't sure about the similarity of dimensions with the Winchester 94.

Has anyone replaced this part with the Marlin version of the forend tip tenon?

If so, which part number?

What kind of hand-fitting was required?

If not, is there another source for the Winchester forend tip tenon?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried Winchester, for a tenon ?

BTW, IMHO you're doing yourself a dis-service if you're merely checking website listings, ILO speaking directly with a company rep, since many seldom-used and/or low-inventory parts aren't listed, but still might be "in stock".

You may try Numrich and Winchester Bob.

Homestead Firearms has the tenon and bunches of other old Winchester parts.
