installing gunstock on action

mod 70 woodstock and composit stock. what are the torque on the screws and in what sequence are they tightened.

On mod 70's I always tighten the front screw tight, (you want the recoil lug seated tight)rear screw snug and middle one just tight enough to stay in place. On pre-64's the barrel screw tension can change accuracy, so you'll need to fiddle around with it to see what the gun likes. Sometimes leaving it out works best.
