Hey guys. I'm having alot of fun with my new Charter Arms Undercoverette in .32 magnum. Very pleasant to shoot and surprisingly accurate. Those of you who shoot the .32 Magnum, what is your favorite non-gascheck boolit for this cartridge? I'm interested in something 100-120 grains with a big flat point. Does boolit weight tend to make much of a difference for POI in the .32 magnum? In .38 Special my S&W 10-5 with 4" barrel is spot on with 158 grain slugs, lighter boolits print low. My Charter Police Undercover with 2.2" barrel doesn't seem to care what the boolits weigh. Perhaps shorter barrels in general are less picky about boolit weight?

RCBS 32-098. Use it in both my Smiths and my SP101. Sized to .314.

NOE 314008 115 grain flatpoint over 4.0 grains of Unique, sized at .314" in a Ruger Single-Six.

I can't help you with point of aim.

Another vote for the RCBS 98 SWC.

Make it three votes for the RCBS 32-98 SWC. I use a lot of them in my 32-20's and my H&R. I have to size them .312 for my 32-20 Colt Police Positive but the NEF prefers .313 and might really be happier with a .314. The starting load of 3.1 grains of Bullseye runs them out at just shy of 1000 fps and they shoot better than factory.

Sounds good. I just ordered a 115 grain Ranch Dog mold with half plain base/half GC cavities.

Ditto

There are 2 group buys going now for a "640" design one 100gr the other 115gr. by Mihec. The NOE's version was 118gr and shot very well. I am in both of these buys.

Lyman 311008.

Looks great, shoots great. Didn't even have to change the sights.

What is the status on the group buy for the smaller (100 gr) bullet? I might be interested if still available and with imminent progress. My NOE is sweet but heavy @ 125 grains, so this would be a nice pairing for it.

Cool! 8-) I was just getting ready to start looking for the old Ideal 313493, but this will fill the bill quite well. I just put my order into your thread. :coffeecom Now if I could just find a button-nose wad cutter 4-cav mould like the old Ideal 313492, I'd be completely equipped. :Fire:

Start-up with a different caliber is so costly and time consuming! [smilie=w:

Does anybody besides me wish Lee would make the 90 TL SWC in a 6 cavity?

I just wished they would bring back the WC mold. TL or regular lube.

When NOE starts taking on new buys again, I will be starting one for the RCBS 32-098 SWC.

Accurate molds will do one. And you will have it in a week. I emailed him and asked him if this was the RCBS-32-98 SWC and he said yes. He will also make the lube groove a little bigger (mine is a small lube groove)

He also has a WC

I wish Lee would make a copy of the RCBS 98 grain flat point with regular lube grooves, I would also like to see them offer a 140 grain RNFP with regular grooves like the 158 grain they currently offer; which, by the way, is an outstanding boolit.

I have been using the same .314 115G WFN mould for years and years.. I bought it for the 32-20 but it works well in the 32 H&R as well as the 327 federal.

I have been reading about the ranch dog moulds.. maybe its time I try one...

Good luck,' CW

I use the SAECO #325 2 CAVITY MOULD 32cal 95gr SWC. It casts 104 grain with HTWW. I am also tempted to try their #326 100 gr SWCBB whic by comparison should cast WW @ 109.5 gr. I load the plain base to 1200 fps [6 inch barrel] using JPW lube and zero leading. Consistent chronographed velocities and no pressure problems.

I have several .32 handguns and they are all FUN to shoot.
