The new Lee 4-20 and 6 cavity 45-200 SWC mould showed up Friday. Saturday night i cleaned and smoke the mould and stared casting. 3 hours later I had a nice pile of boolits. 3 more moulds on order and let the fun begin. This site is invaluable for new guys starting out. Thanks for all the info.

Nice job!!
Just curious, what size do your boolits drop? My same mold drops at .455.

sw1115 - Nice job. You're hooked. There's no going back now. Wait till you shoot those and think - Wow, that cost me almost nothing. One thing though, your diameters should be more consistent that 3 thou or so. Be sure to stay away from the sprue plate handle when you're pouring. Make sure the mold halves close completely each time. Good job !!! enjoy Mike

Thanks for the input. Captaint, funny you should mention that. I had a couple of boolits that had a little finning around the base. I thought maybe to mold got too hot and was smearing the lead with the sprue plate. I'll keep an eye out for that on the next session. I think tonight I'll try a couple a hundred 358-105 SWC's. This is as much fun as shooting.
