NOE Saeco 221 clone

Went to the range today and had loaded some rounds with 21gr Varget and the above boolit. Very thin coat of LLA on some and just lubrisized on others. Sized to .225", Hornady checks and my own lube blend. Rifle was a Rem XR-100 in .223

Put one over the chrony, 2340fps then on to sight-in and shoot. Shot two on the regular bull , then the three on the shoot-n-see type target , then back to the regular target. Think I let the top shot in the regular target get away from me a bit. Only shot three on the shoot-n-see. Such a nice group, hated to ruin it with a flyer.
Strange, but the boolits without the LLA shot about the same size group, but were impacting about 2" higher.

playing with that same bullet right now in my xp100 223. I'm real early in my efforts, but hope to be where your at really soon.

Nice groups! I have never played with cast and a 22--can't see those little bitty gas checks.

Made it back to the range and tried 21.5gr Varget and 22.1gr Varget. The 21.5 opened up the group to about 3+", but the 22.1gr load was suprising. I pulled the one to the right (third shot), but have three in that little hole. Velocity was 2485fps. Velocity only jumped 20fps going to the 21.5gr(2379fps), but 106fps jump with the next .6gr. Report of the rifle sounded quite a bit different also.
POI also shifted about 3" left and 2" up with the higher charges. Rem 71/2 primers
