No, I have never heard of the combination before either.

I bought a couple of pounds of Norma N201 powder during one of the past powder/primer/ammunition shortages. I read that it was meant for cartridges with small powder capacity for their caliber. I have tried it in the .375 Winchester, the 45-70, and the 9.5x57M-S. Nothing bad about it, but when I could get my preferred powder for each cartridge, I went back to them.

So I got to thinking about using the N201 in the .30 Carbine. That certainly fits the description (small powder capacity for their caliber). I have not been able to find anything in Norma, Vatouri (sp?) or other websites or loading manuals.

Has anyone ever tried this combination? If so, where should I start?
