Lyman "J" shell holder numbers

I thought I had it made - my chart says that the Lyman J shell holder #14 is for the 44-40. I go searching on eBay and, lo and behold, this appears to be the only one Lyman made in an "a" and a "b"!

Which do I need for the 44-40??

According to my reference the .44-40 is the 14B. I have an Ideal handbook that indicates that the No. 26 should also work.

By the way, the 14A is supposed to be for the .45 Auto Rim.

Bent has it right! If you can't find it on e-bay try the 310shop or you can buy the adapter lyman sells and regular shell holders.
