Very simple shell vise for roll crimping, chunk of 2x4, 3/4" hole, cut down the center, 3/8" bolt with wing nut, works great. Hc

I made mine the same way. I didn't use a 2 x 4. I used a 3/4"
thick maple and made one side stationary, then put a bolt on one end of the
other piece. All is mounted on a small 3/8" piece of plywood
and held in place on my drill press with two small "c" clamps.
Works like a charm.

Nice looking roll crimp too. I am in the process of making one but as usual I am making a bigger deal out of it than it needs to be as evidenced by your "rude" vice. I'll have a little more time and money in mine but I can assure you mine won't be "rude". I also can see that mine won't work any better than yours. Thanks for sharing with us.
