I mainly hunt deer, but would like to have enough firepower to bring down a bear on impact preferably. Ive seen shows where a decent shot has enough shock on impact that the game just drops in its tracks. Thats what I am looking for essentially. I cast my own 30cal 165 grain lead bullets but I really am lost in terms of what loads to use to achieve my goal. I really have just been working up the bare minimum to save costs on powder. Any suggestions from the cast boolits world????

those shots where the animal just drops is from bone being taken out.
a cast boolit into the upper shoulder/spine junction will drop a deer in it's tracks also.
as will a brain shot. etc.
if you are thinking about zipping a cast boolit out at warp 3 you need to go down to the paper patching section.
