Picked up a 4 inch .44 Redhawk yesterday. Traded a 7.5 SRH for it. The SRH was a good gun but to big. First thought is I like it, might be a little harder to hit my 10X10 steel at 100 but it is a lot handier gun.

Good gun. I just don't like the spring arrangement.

Not as refined as a Dan Wesson, Not as sexy as a Smith, but by far the most durable weapon I know of. I would have made that trade also. Great job.

I was surprised when I took the grips off. I didn't realize the RH was different from the SRH.

My preference is the super, but the Redhawk is a great gun. If you want the action slicked up, I'd recomend magnaport. Not cheap, but I've had several friends have MNP give their RH's an action job, and the action is superb when they get it back.

I have never had a handgun action job done. I just smooth up the SA pull myself. What's it cost to have one done? I went out tonight with 6.5 of Unique under a 240 LEE TL I can hit my 10X10 inch steel 5 out of 6 times at 100 yards most of the time off of a bag. Starting to really like this gun!!

A word about heavy guns---you get used to them.
Then when you pick up a .22 you will shake like crazy! :bigsmyl2:
