LEE 200 RF IN 45 xD OAL

Hello all!

SA 45 xD 4" service, lee 200 RF from 6 cav.
Max OAL to pass barrel hood fit test: 1.125.(!)

Max OAL to pass barrel hood fit test with Lyman devastator is 1.225.

First batch weighed 220gr (Lee RF); same alloy Devastator avg 202 gr. 50/50 CWW/stick on.

Slugged bore is .4505 (lands), so sized to .452 in Lee push through/LLA is about right.

First batch leaded like crazy entire barrel, (5.0 231). Pulled one (all passing through FCD (Dillon 550 station 4)) mic's .448...no wonder!

Ordered lee non-FCD Taper crimp die.

Question is: anyone else see this short a throat on xD 45 with 200 RF? I've seen down to 1.160, but mine is definitely 1.125 to not hit the rifling.

The Lee 200 RF when seated to chamber correctly as you've done will feed only in 1 of my 3 M1911 type .45s and does not feed in my M98 converted to 45 ACP either. Hence I went back to the 190 SWC which feeds fine in all 3 M1911s. However, the 200 gr RF shoots very well in my Contender 45 ACP barrel, M1917/25 and Uberti SSA with ACP cylinder. Also shoots very well in all 5 of my 45 Colt guns ( Contender, 2 SAAs and 2 rifles).
