Anyone know why it cost more than other powders?

Lower demand? A niche powder with few users so less is made and "tooling up" costs more on a per instance basis? Or it may contain components that are more expensive or the manufacturing process may be more intricate or more of a certain higher cost item is required?

Accurate might be willing to definitively answer the question

It is a great cast blt powder, BUT------I will pass on it now at current prices locally because it is about 25-30% higher than other powders with similar bunining rate.

I wrote to Western and asked this same question. I was told it is a difficult powder to make so costs more.
If this is the case why has the price only exceeded other powders in the last few years? When I first started using it it was the same price as other powders.
It doesn't do anything that SR4759 or 2400 won't.
