I have run lower end loads of 4895 and the RCBS 180 SP out of one 15 years back.it shot pretty well and was reliable.I loaded them for the neighbors kid for hunting practice. They were good enough to hit a 6" gong @100 yards most of the time and i think they would hold about 2-3" off the bags.(they did all the shooting not me)I basically copied cast data recommended for the M1 Garand. It seemed 22g to 24g of 2400 also cycled the action.

My son has the Remington 742, we use 35gr of H4895 with the Lee 170gr for a nice light shooting load that cycles the action.

H4895 is a great powder for gas operated semi-auto's due to the volume of gas produced.
