S&W front sight insert

Have a 686-3 that does not have the pinned front sight. I am not seeing the orange insert as well any more. Does any one make diffrent color inserts for this. I am thinking a flat black insert would serve me well.

Just paint it with a flat black paint.

I used a file and cut out the red ramp and made mine into a patradge front sight profile ! I never liked the the S&W red ramp front sights or you could mill off the front sight & base and install Weigands front sight assy with interchangeable front sights blades .

The inserts are not available (as I understand it), but Midway, Brownell's, etc., sell an epoxy kit for molding a new one in...
