Hi, old guy new to casting (sort of) . I shoot 380, 9mm, 38 spc. & 45 acp. all target rounds. I tried doing a search, but didnot find or couldn't understand the ratio. In layman terms, what ratio of cww and sww's would be ok for this type of shooting. I melted down both kinds and wound up with about 11# of cww and 40# of sww.
Great site, can't get enough reading time.
Thanks
Tim

I've always shot straight clip on ww's, mostly because my ww source seemed to give me about 98 parts clip on to 2 parts stick on.
I'd say so long as you keep your 9mm loads on the milder side you should be able to mix 2 parts stick ons to 1 part clip on and come up with a good alloy.
I commonly mix 50/50 CWW/Stick-On(pure Pb) for .38 Special, .44 Special, and .45 AutoRim.

have shot straight WW to 75% pb or stickies with WW. Have shot 100% pb in the 45acp but after 100rds had some leading but it cleaned with a few swipes of the brush. Clint

I would say
100% COWW
or up to 50/50 COWW/SOWW
